Spearheaded by\u00a0Ahmad Zakii Anwar and Jalaini Abu Hassan, <strong>WORKING<\/strong> is the principal outcome of the WORK project which began in 2009. Some  of you may recall attending the WORK exhibition held earlier in January  2010 at No. 19 Jalan Berangan? (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogueart.asia\/ra\/exhibitions\/work-coming-soon\/\">For those who would like to find out more about the exhibition, click here if you are curious)<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>WORKING<\/strong> focuses on the creative processes of 10 leading Malaysian artists and  their relationship with their respective working environments through a  series of interviews and photographic documentation. The publication is a  modest attempt to uncover each artist\u2019s methodology, to try to make  sense of what is often considered a wordless and emotional creative  process.<\/p>\n<p>An exhibition entitled <em>10 Malaysian Artists: Portraits from the WORK Project by Tara Sosrowardoyo<\/em> will also be presented in conjunction with the book launch. Tara was  invited to be the \u201ceyes\u201d of the project, to capture each artist&#8217;s  portraits which will form the key entries of <strong>WORKING<\/strong>. Over a  period of two months in 2009, this regionally acclaimed photographer  travelled around the Klang Valley, up north to Kuala Kangsar, down south  to Melaka and Johor Bahru, spending time with the artists and  familiarising himself with their environments.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is the result of this two-month shoot.
